Privacy Policy

Great Deals Garage is a small, locally run resale shop based in the Village of Florida, New York. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We are a one-location operation, not a large retailer. We collect as little as we can get away with, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

The only information we actively collect is what you type into our contact form. That form asks for:

• Your name — required, so we know who we are talking to.
• Your email address — optional.
• Your phone number — optional.
• Your message — optional, including any item you are asking about.

You do not need to create an account to browse listings or contact us, and we do not offer one.

When you view a listing page, we increment an anonymous view counter for that listing. It records that a view happened — nothing about who viewed it. It is not tied to you, your device, or your other activity on the site.

Our hosting and database providers keep standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps. These are generated by their infrastructure for security and reliability purposes. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

To be explicit about it, this website does not:

• Process payments or collect any credit card, bank, or financial information. All payment happens in person at pickup.
• Run advertising pixels, Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook tracking, or any third-party analytics service.
• Use tracking or advertising cookies of any kind.
• Collect location data, contacts, or anything from your device beyond a normal web request.
• Sell, rent, trade, or share your information with marketers or data brokers. Ever.

We use what you send us for exactly one purpose: responding to you. Specifically, to

• reply to your question about an item,
• schedule a pickup appointment and share our address with you,
• let you know if an item you asked about sells or if something similar comes in, and
• follow up on a completed sale if we need to.

If you give us a phone number, we may text or call you about your inquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send bulk promotional messages.

Contact form submissions are stored in our database and forwarded to the owner so we see them promptly. To run the site we rely on a small number of service providers, who process this data on our behalf:

• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Supabase — database and listing photo storage.
• Google (Gmail) — delivering contact form notifications to the owner.
• Anthropic — an AI service used by the owner to help draft listing descriptions. Your contact information is never sent to it.

These providers are bound by their own terms and privacy policies. Beyond them, we do not share your information with anyone unless we are legally required to — for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

This site sets one cookie, and it is not for you. It is a first-party login cookie that keeps the owner signed in to the private admin area used to post listings. If you are browsing the site as a customer, it is never set.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party cookies on this site. That is why you will not see a cookie consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we do not track visitors across websites or over time in the first place, there is no tracking for that signal to switch off.

We also do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across other websites through this site.

We keep contact submissions as long as they are useful — typically so we can recognize a returning customer or follow up on a past sale. We are not trying to build an archive, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

You can, at any time and at no cost, ask us to:

• tell you what information we have about you,
• correct anything that is wrong, or
• delete your information entirely.

Just send us a message and say so. We will take care of it and confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect how we treat you as a customer.

This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information through our contact form, let us know and we will delete it.

If we change how we handle information — for example, if we ever add online payments or shipping — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
